The Asylum's 2019 mockbuster coincidentally released around the same time as Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Monster Island is about an island, known as Monster Island, where a monster can be found, whom itself is kind of the island, the Monster Island, if you will.

As this is an asylum movie, it has the approximate budget of a big kid's meal and uses it sparingly - focusing on a few human characters, and keeping it's big names in (read...) one set where all their scenes can be filmed over lunch break. However, lest we forget this is the kaiju genre and well... that is kind of how they go, so perhaps The Asylum won't do such a bad job with it?
